About the Congress

About the Congress

The 31st Annual APHA National Congress is the premier opportunity for those engaged in Australia's private hospital sector to convene during the year. This year's theme "Private Hospitals: Evolution through Innovation" will provide an in-depth look at the issues, trends, and opportunities in the private hospital and health care arena. Best-practice case studies will be a feature for those hospitals wanting to take home practical solutions for their own facilities.

The program offers a variety of sessions that will appeal to a wide cross-section of participants from all areas of the private healthcare system. This year the organising committee is committed to practical streams focusing on Safety & Quality, Health Workforce, Communications & Marketing, Mental Health and Hospital Innovations.

In addition to the keynote and plenary speakers, the Congress will facilitate debate and discussion through a program of formal and informal networking opportunities, and present a showcase of industry innovation at the Congress Trade Exhibition. Set at the award winning facilities of the Hilton Hotel, Sydney, APHA's 31th National Congress will deliver a thought provoking and informative look into the hot issues impacting private hospitals across the country.

At the Congress

At the National Congress APHA members join together for two and a half days of discussion and networking and to hear from a fantastic array of guest speakers and experts on hot topics and vital issues in the private hospital and healthcare sector.

Concurrent to the National Congress is a health sector Trade Expo. Trade Exhibitors and Delegates take the opportunity to build and develop relationships and keep current on the latest developments impacting them both.
